T-Mobile’s ‘premium’ new REVVL 7 5G series phones start at the low price of free with ANY trade-in

Even in a day and age when its name is more often associated with controversy than industry-shaking “Un-carrier” moves, T-Mobile constantly manages to trump the competition with the best smartphone deals and most value-packed plans out there. One of the most popular types of promotions regularly run by Magenta can hook you up with free new handsets sans jumping through too many hoops, and starting next Thursday, you will be able to trade in virtually anything in exchange for a gratis REVVL 7 5G.

That includes broken phones you may have completely forgotten about, and all that you’ll need to do to knock the new handset’s $199.99 list price down to $0 is sign a two-year device installment plan. Alternatively, you can add a new line of service on “most” plans and skip the trade-in process entirely.

Is the REVVL 7 any good?

That’s obviously hard to say without reviewing the freshly unveiled device, holding it in our hand for a few minutes, or even looking at some sort of a product depiction. That’s right, T-Mo is bizarrely keeping the designs of the REVVL 7 and REVVL 7 Pro under wraps while publishing their full spec sheets and detailing their pricing structure ahead of a May 23 online and offline release.
Based on the REVVL 7’s key specifications, we can certainly recommend you at least take this thing into consideration if you need a new budget 5G phone as a personal backup or even a daily driver for an unpretentious teenager or elderly relative.

On paper, the 6.58-inch mid-ranger definitely has a few nice things going for it, starting with a reasonably high-quality FHD+ IPS LCD screen and ending with a surprisingly powerful “Snapdragon 6” processor. That’s probably the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC found inside the likes of Motorola’s Moto G Stylus 5G (2024), and in combination with a respectable 6GB RAM count, it guarantees smooth day-to-day operations for most Android users.
The non-Pro T-Mobile REVVL 7 5G also runs Android 14 on the software side of things, which is to be expected halfway through 2024, while packing a hefty 5,000mAh battery equipped with 15W charging technology and rocking a 50MP primary camera joined by two presumably useless 2MP sensors on its back.

The single 8MP front-facing snapper, 128GB internal storage space, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microSD card slot come together to wrap up an undeniably solid list of features for an ultra-affordable $200 device that sounds incredibly easy to get completely free of charge (after monthly bill credits).

The REVVL 7 Pro is obviously (much) better and (slightly) costlier

Shrouded in the same secrecy as its little brother on the design front, the 6.78-inch T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G remarkably sports a state-of-the-art AMOLED display with a resolution of 2436 x 1080 pixels and an OIS-equipped 50MP main camera joined by a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and… two largely pointless 2MP sensors on the back.

Powered by the same “Snapdragon 6” SoC as the “regular” REVVL 7, the Pro does bump up the memory and storage to 8 and 256 gigs respectively while also upgrading its single selfie snapper to a 16MP affair and the wired charging support of its unchanged 5,000mAh cell to 25W.

The REVVL 7 Pro further adds wireless charging capabilities to the equation compared to the non-Pro model, and yet its price point only jumps by 50 bucks to $249.99. Even better, you can easily mark that down to $50 with a trade-in of your choice (including broken devices) or pay nothing with a new line of service (after bill credits).

Business customers can also get the 6.78-inch “premium” smartphone for free in one of two ways, with both trade-ins and new line activations qualifying for the same 100 percent discount on the Go5G Business Plus plan. Now those are some phenomenal deals that Verizon and AT&T subscribers cannot dream of coming close to, and not only because REVVL devices are (obviously) exclusive to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile.
