This year has been absurdly good in terms of video game releases. But 2024 looks set to be just as exciting. As announced during the June Showcases for Summer Game Fest and Xbox, there’s a lot to look forward to next year. These are our 10 most anticipated games of 2024.
10 Reload Persona 3
Reload Persona 3 is a remake of the third part with improved graphics, performance and gameplay improvements. This game is exciting because the Persona series enjoyed an explosion in popularity after the release of persona 4 And persona 5, which means many players may have missed the third part. That’s disappointing though Reload Persona 3 will not allow you to play as a female protagonist (like you could). Persona 3 wearable), this remake is still one to look forward to.
9. Like a Dragon: Infinite Riches
Like a Dragon: Infinite Riches will continue from where Yakuza: Like a dragon stopped and sent the protagonist Ichiban Kasuga on another adventure to Hawaii. We don’t know much about this entry, but developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed that the game will retain the turn-based RPG mechanics of its predecessor, along with the return of Kazuma Kiryu. It will start in early 2024.
8th. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D sidescrolling action-platformer with Metroidvania elements. It will be heavily action-oriented, with massive boss fights and fast-paced platforming. You can expect to play this on January 18th, 2024.
Although Palworld Often referred to as “Pokémon with guns,” it stands out clearly from Nintendo’s hit franchise. Primarily, Palworld tends a bit more towards realism, at least as far as the lighting and the world are concerned. Its third-person shooter gameplay is borderline absurd, thanks to the wacky-looking monsters using giant chain guns to take down enemies. Early Access starts in January 2024.
6. The wolf among us 2
The waiting for The wolf among us 2 was undoubtedly excruciating, but it will finally be released in 2024. It takes place after the events of the first game. The wolf among us 2 will retain Telltale’s popular episodic design while also offering enhanced visuals and an immersive atmosphere. The wolf among us is arguably Telltale’s best game, so it will be interesting to see what the studio does with the story and characters all these years later.
5. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Microsoft flight simulator 2020 was already an impressive achievement from a design point of view, since it put the entire planet at the disposal of the players. Now, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 aims to make the immersion even more intense and offer even more activities. The new installment features more goal-oriented missions such as aerial firefighting, search and rescue, and helicopter transport – all powered by Asobo Studio’s “evolved” engine.
The new role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment Explained gearing up for launch in 2024 and shaping up to be an incredible experience. The upcoming game takes action while maintaining the RPG systems that Obsidian is known for. Expect fast-paced fantasy combat where players can cast spells and even use weapons to take out enemies and complete quests. Interesting, Explained also takes place in the Pillars of Eternity universe, as confirmed by Obsidian.
3. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
Microsoft offered an in-depth look Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II during its Xbox Games Showcase and it looks more ambitious than expected. It’s easily one of the best looking games in Microsoft’s portfolio, but the graphics aren’t the only thing to look forward to in Ninja Theory’s next project. It will also feature immersive sound that seems to expand compared to its predecessor (meaning you should play with headphones). It will launch sometime in 2024.
2. Final Fantasy 7 rebirth
The next entry in the Final Fantasy VII The remake trilogy is upon us. Square Enix finally showed the second part – with the title Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – in action and it looks remarkable. Takes place after the events of the 2020s reissueCloud and his friends have escaped from Midgar and must fight against the evil Sephiroth rebirth. This entry takes players into the world of Gaia, which will appear to be a lot more open than Midgar from the previous installment. It will start in early 2024.
1. Star Wars Outlaws
Touted as “the first ever open-world Star Wars game.” Star Wars Outlaws comes to us from Ubisoft Massive Entertainment, the studio best known for its work on The Division series. In Star Wars Outlaws, Players take on the role of Kay Vess, an outlaw with one goal in mind: “Attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen.”
This game takes place between the events of The Empire Strikes Back And Return of the Jediand will feature third-person action gameplay with stealth elements and an emphasis on exploration and shooting. As with many recent Star Wars games outlaws looks expensive and official, with nice looks and presentation to match.
