Samsung Galaxy S24+ battery life test

We’re ready with the battery life test of the Galaxy S24+ and here go the results.

The Galaxy S24+ has a 4,900mAh battery – 200mAh more than its predecessor – and an LTPO panel for granular screen refresh rate control. However, the Galaxy S24+ has a higher resolution QHD+ display – a significant upgrade from 1080p. The newer phone runs an Exynos 2400 in most countries, and that’s the unit we have for testing – a move away from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and its TSMC-made 4nm process.

The Galaxy S24+ posted a lower Active Use Score than its predecessor, by an hour and 20 minutes. The newer phone beat its predecessor in just one, albeit arguably the most important, test – in the video playback loop it scored 2 hours more. Calling is down by 5 hours, browsing is half an hour less, and gaming is 2 and a half hours shorter.

We’ll dive deeper into the battery score in our full review, but for now, we can say that the battery life of the Galaxy S24+ is not bad it’s just not better than that of its predecessor.
